Cliques, labeling by others, and even self-branding are things teens often have to deal with. In my book my main character, Phe, identifies herself as an 'indie' kind of person with her checkerboard Vans and love of underground music, but she doesn't let that decide what kind of friends she's going to have. I've gotten the official go-ahead to post the Shadow Hills cover. So I'm unlocking this entry now. Which makes me a little nervous----in a good way.

I think it's finally hitting me that I sold my book. And now people will get to read it. Some people might actually pay money to read it. Crazy.
